And no religion too.

I just got back from a meeting with my Trio group. Today was "work out what the heck we're actually doing since this damned thing is due on Tuesday" day. So, we wrote character analyses, and since our script involves two characters from a video game, I basically wrote the plot for three fantasy games today. It's pretty good, as far as a basic premise behind a kids' video game goes.

Niah (the good chick, played by me) was born in the country of Illuin (yes, this is a borrowed name, I was on short supply of place names, and I had this one floating around my head anyway) and arrived in the country of Ashen-Batur after the Battle of the Nine (which is an allusion). Ashen-Batur is lorded over by the evil Lord Darkness, a sorcerer who seeks to destroy and take hold over all the earth to keep for his own.

At the end of the first game of the series, Fantasy Blaster, Niah showed mercy, and allowed Lord Darkness his freedom. Of course, he returned stronger and more evil than ever in Fantasty Blaster II. This time, in the final confrontation, Lord Darkness flees the battle and is not seen for many years.

Now, however, in Fantasy Blaster III: Return of Lord Darkness, Lord Darkness' forces are massing to destroy the free lands once and for all.

In their final hour of hope, the people turn again to the warrior Niah for her cunning and bravery. With only the aid of her sword, Rhiranon, and the conviction that she works for good, Niah sets out on a quest to find and defeat once and for all the evil Lord Darkness. This time, he will be destroyed for good.

Flesh out the story a bit, put in a little bit of morality, and you've got yourself a fantasy novel trilogy. Keep it as it is, find an animator- you've got a video game.

Other then that, today is December 8th. The day the music died. John Lennon Memorial Day. Someday, this day will find me outside the Dakota Building in New York City, and wandering Strawberry Fields in Central Park. But not soon, it seems.

It seems today is also the day of the Immaculate Conception. An 18 day gestation period, hmmm.
