Fork stuck on a spoon

I've been playing "The Origin of Love" on a loop and feeling that it is either entirely right, or entirely wrong, depending on my mood. For people who are not familiar with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, it is a life changing work, much like Trainspotting or On the Road. My biggest question is, if we're all looking for our other half, why do we spend so much time thinking we've found them when they're not the same one? Shouldn't we be able to remember that wave at the very back of our minds forever? And what about the people who can't even work out which of the children they used to be?

But then I know that it's because it was so long ago, we forget so easily. We forget a wave, we forget a smile, a laugh. I know that first hand, and that's not a case of millions of years, that's just a simple few.

It's twenty six days until Spring Break.
